Online Mentoring with Sanne De Wilde

Sanne De Wilde is offering one-on-one online mentoring on photography, creativity and story-telling, tailored to your level, project or portfolio. Each session is 1h30min long.

Sanne will share with you her experience working as a newspaper photographer transitioning in becoming a visual conceptual artist. She will share her experience in how she transitionned from a very traditional style to a more unique and creative way of exploring her artwork. She will support and share her current experience working on very conceptual projects in times of COVID-19, and how she develops her projects with a very hands on experimental approach.

In addition, Sanne will share how she works and connects to the art world through exhibitions, and the importance of working with art galleries.

Intimacy of Place and the Tools of Telling: Reconceptualize your project with Tanya Habjouqa

Explore your project and stretch your ability to make your personal stories more universal, intertwining intimate narratives with broader issues. Noor photographer Tanya Habjouqa specializes in collaborative methodologies, blending ethnography and investigative reportage, from multimedia to multiplatform. A mentor for the critically acclaimed Arab Photography Documentary Program (a Magnum Foundation, Prince Clause, and AFAC co-project) she teaches workshops internationally, creating “bespoke” workshops to suit diverse needs in locations from SF Camera in San Francisco to Doha Film Institute in Qatar. Together, you will “workshop” your project…intense brainstorming, reinvention, and re-conceptualization.

Online Mentoring with Benedicte Kurzen

Benedicte Kurzen  invites you to transform a basic exercice - portfolio review  - into a storm. No stones will be left unturned: understanding your deep motivations, going back to your material, challenging the content and the shape,  explore the possible ways to show your work. From documentary photography to more conceptual work, you will together create a space where your imagination can be heard and expanded, and your unique voice find its visual form. "Photography works as a triangle binding the heart, the intellect and the eye. Which one of the three is the strongest and influence the other two"?
